layout for magazines, brochures, posters and other printed materials.
Graphic Artist. September 1979 – January 1980. Bristol Graphic
Studio, Bristol, England, UK. Designed corporate images, stationary brochures and other printed materials.
Signwriter. February 1980 – March 1992. Self-employed. Dublin,
Ireland. Designed, constructed and handpainted storefront
signs. Specialized in old fashioned Pub signs, including
hanging picture signs.
The Temple Bar signs I did appeared as part of the movie set of Far and Away, starring Tom Cruise.
Another commission I had was to travel from Ireland to England to paint a storefront on the famous Oxford
Street in London.
Staff Artist
July 1993 – March 1995. Dimensions Inc. Reading, PA. Designed and charted needlepoint and cross stitch kits.
Adapted other well-known artists' work, such as Mary Englebright, into sewing kits.
