What a privilage for me as an artist to live so close to the great "River of Grass" the Everglades National Park. Of course, the Everglades is more than just grass, it is many different ecosystems and the wet and dry seasons add to the diversity. The beauty is primordial; awe inspiring; humbling; it opens my heart and focus to something greater than our daily rush and fuss. Standing in the midst of such wonder I can be transported to a time that could be thousands of years ago. We have already lost so much of the Everglades....and we are much too close to losing more.

Did you know....there is only one Everglades in the world? There is nowhere else like them and they need our fierce protection, now, so that we do not ruin and lose the beauty and life saving (to humans and wildlife) clean water forever.
