Carol McArdle was at The Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve in Fort Myers Florida when she saw a great egret stalking the dark waters in the cypress swamp looking for it's next meal. Carol wanted to capture the beautiful pattern of light and shadow that was almost in black and white alone.
